さてどうでしょう？　わたしは、全体的に思ったより簡単な本を選んでいるんだなぁ……という印象を受けました。英語を習っていない子に読むことが前提になっているのでしょうか？　最近のエリック・カール人気で『はらぺこあおむし』のボードブックはかなり普及しているので、４年生になってから読んでも「赤ちゃんの本」だと受けとる子がいるんじゃないかと気になります。（きっと松香先生がこの本を選定した頃には、まだそんなに知られていなかったのでしょうね。）

*1:＊２つ該当する本が見つかったので、両方の表紙を紹介しておきます。後者はThe Berenstain Bears in the Nightというタイトルが正式です。どちらも作者は同じです。Martin＆CarleコンビのBrown Bearも最後の部分が若干違うバージョンがあるように、こちらも基本的には同じ本なのかもしれません。ロングセラーが多い絵本では、こういうことがよくあるので、基本的に現在も入手できる可能性が高い新しいほうの表紙を載せていくようにします。
